Midnight Madness is an overnight immersive challenge where teams put their intellect, teamwork, and stamina to the test — cracking puzzles, stepping into storylines, and racing the clock until dawn.

The Event

Returning to London on 16 May 2026, Midnight Madness is unlike anything else.

Across 12 electrifying hours, teams race through the city, cracking ingenious puzzles that unlock the next hidden location. But every stop is more than just a puzzle — it’s a world of its own.

Behind each door: breathtaking sets, storylines that pull you in, and characters so comical or convincing you’ll forget where the game ends and reality begins. One moment you’re piecing together codes in a forgotten theatre, the next you’re bartering with shady underworld figures or uncovering secrets in iconic spaces across London.

This is more than solving puzzles — it’s stepping inside an adventure. All while battling London’s sharpest minds, testing your teamwork, stamina, and ingenuity to the limit.

A proven legacy in aid of Raise Your Hands

Six London editions have run between 2018 and 2025.

The 2025 event alone raised over £585,000 for Raise Your Hands.

Since its launch, Midnight Madness London has raised over £3 million to support small children’s charities — proof that when brilliant minds collide, the impact is extraordinary.

The Origins

Conceived in New York by Mat Laibowitz and Elisha Wiesel, the first Midnight Madness in 2015 raised $3.1m for charity. The London chapter has proudly carried that legacy forward, building on the vision first set by the NYC team.

“Thank you so much for another amazing MM! I really think this was the best one yet and that was pretty challenging to achieve given how good previous years were. Every year you raise the bar!”

“I struggle to describe MM to friends but it’s absolutely one of the highlights of my year (and I know the rest of our team feels the same way). Thank you! I’m so glad it was a great fundraising year too.

“Best puzzle event of the year, can’t wait for next year!

“It’s an incredible event, run by incredible people, doing incredible things. And we get to have an insane night across London like no other!

“It is my favourite evening of the year: an intellectual and physical challenge that promotes teamwork.

“This event surpassed expectations, the venue access was incredible, unclear how you will trump those places next year!”

Raise Your Hands believes all children and young people deserve to thrive, to build happy and fulfilling lives, and that small charities are essential in making this happen.

However, small charities suffer from a funding crisis – too small to be seen, too small to cover big losses when economic winds change, and too small to survive with only ring-fenced funds.

Raise Your Hands’ mission is to seek out exceptional small charities to support and to offer donors a different way to support them, thereby amplifying the impact that small charities can have on the lives of children and young people.

Innovators in the philanthropic space, Raise Your Hands empowers donors by delivering an experience that builds confidence and improves understanding. And by creating a platform of charities, its donors don’t have the difficulty of having to choose one cause or charity to support.

There are 17 carefully selected and monitored small charities on its platform.  All are based across the UK, have a turnover of less than £2m, and have an interesting and innovative approach to tackling the issues facing the children they work with.
