Midnight Madness is completely unlike anything else. An all-night puzzle race across London, where teams solve their way through a series of immersive zones in iconic locations — a chain of one-off escape rooms, but bigger, madder, and way past midnight.
Frequently called “the best night of the year” by past players, it’s all in aid of Raise Your Hands, supporting its work with small children’s charities across the UK.
The Event
Imagine a series of bespoke escape rooms scattered across London — but you’re doing them through the night, racing other teams, and raising money for charity along the way.
Across 12 hours, teams race through the city solving puzzles that unlock the next hidden location. Every stop: famous spaces across London you wouldn’t otherwise get to see — filled with wild and wonderful characters, immersive stories, and surprises you won’t see coming.

Since its launch, Midnight Madness London has raised over £3.9 million for Raise Your Hands — helping small children’s charities across the UK thrive. The 2026 event alone brought in over £820,000, with many teams surpassing the fundraising target of £22,000 significantly.

The Origins
Conceived in New York by Mat Laibowitz and Elisha Wiesel, the first Midnight Madness in 2015 raised $3.1m for charity. The London chapter has proudly carried that legacy forward, building on the vision first set by the NYC team.
Raise Your Hands believes all children and young people deserve the chance to thrive, and that small charities are essential in making this happen. Yet many struggle to survive, often too small to be seen or to weather financial challenges.
Our mission is to find exceptional small charities and offer donors a better way to support them, amplifying their impact on children’s lives. By creating a carefully curated platform of 17 UK-based charities—each with a turnover under £2m and innovative approaches—we make it easy for donors to contribute with confidence, without having to pick between causes.
