Midnight Madness 2024
Midnight Madness 2025

13 September 2025

Midnight Madness is an interactive and immersive experience where teams of players battle it out in a spectacular display of mind power and stamina, to complete as many challenges/puzzles as possible within the given time.

Using the City of London as a stage, the event – an overnight Crystal Maze-meets-Da Vinci Code treasure hunt – puts intellect to the test whilst fundraising for small children’s charities across the UK.

Midnight Madness 2024 took place on 18 May 2024.

The Event

An immersive challenge in aid of Raise Your Hands

Returning to London on 13th September 2025, Midnight Madness is a series of cleverly camouflaged and devilishly difficult puzzles – the answers to which indicate the location of the next puzzle, and so on. Teams compete all night, hunting for, solving, and executing puzzles embedded in the urban landscape of London.

2018 - 2024

Iterations of Midnight Madness London were run in 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2024.

MM24 was a huge success, raising £763,714 for Raise Your Hands

Midnight Madness NYC

Originally conceived in New York by Mat Laibowitz and Elisha Wiesel, the event took place in 2015 and raised $3.1m for charity.

The Midnight Madness NYC team are delighted with the success of Midnight Madness London and we thank them for their advice and guidance.

“Thank you so much for another amazing MM! I really think this was the best one yet and that was pretty challenging to achieve given how good previous years were. Every year you raise the bar!”

“I struggle to describe MM to friends but it’s absolutely one of the highlights of my year (and I know the rest of our team feels the same way). Thank you! I’m so glad it was a great fundraising year too.

“Best puzzle event of the year, can’t wait for next year!

“It’s an incredible event, run by incredible people, doing incredible things. And we get to have an insane night across London like no other!

“It is my favourite evening of the year: an intellectual and physical challenge that promotes teamwork.

“This event surpassed expectations, the venue access was incredible, unclear how you will trump those places next year!”

Raise Your Hands believes all children and young people deserve to thrive, to build happy and fulfilling lives, and that small charities are essential in making this happen.

However, small charities suffer from a funding crisis – too small to be seen, too small to cover big losses when economic winds change, and too small to survive with only ring-fenced funds.

Raise Your Hands’ mission is to seek out exceptional small charities to support and to offer donors a different way to support them, thereby amplifying the impact that small charities can have on the lives of children and young people.

Innovators in the philanthropic space, Raise Your Hands empowers donors by delivering an experience that builds confidence and improves understanding. And by creating a platform of charities, its donors don’t have the difficulty of having to choose one cause or charity to support.

There are 17 carefully selected and monitored small charities on its platform.  All are based across the UK, have a turnover of less than £2m, and have an interesting and innovative approach to tackling the issues facing the children they work with.
